About

From print deadlines to pull requests.

I spent six years as a graphic designer, delivering 50+ digital and print projects for law, insurance, finance and healthcare clients, most of them with their own brand book and none of them with a spare week. That work made me the person who sat between the client and the developers, turning vague briefs into wireframes and assets precise enough to build from.

Eventually I wanted to build the thing myself. I moved into engineering through a development bootcamp and a React certification, and I now write production UI in React and TypeScript, currently at Neat Software B.V. in Delft, working remotely from Arnhem, on a Next.js platform for the mining industry.

What I bring is the seam between the two: I know why a designer picked that spacing, and I know what it costs to implement. Fewer revision cycles, fewer "that's not what the mockup said" conversations.
